Hey there! My name is Pedro Leston Martins and I am an industrial designer with a passion for innovation in design. Originally from Portugal, I began my journey at the University of Central Lancashire in the UK, earning my diploma in Art and Design (Visual Communication).
Since 2016, I've been exploring design's potential in New Zealand, where I completed a Bachelor's degree in Design Innovation at Victoria University of Wellington, specializing in Industrial Design.
My interests span across performing arts, CNC processes, modular systems, and crafting physical products. I'm particularly intrigued by how modular systems can revolutionise product design, making it more versatile and sustainable.
Currently, I'm employed at Victoria University of Wellington doing research in sensing footwear for diabetic foot ulcer management, focusing on computational design (Grasshopper), 3D printing (Cura, Ultimaker, Creality, BambuLab), and 3D scanning (Artec EVA, iPhone/iPad Scanning).

In my work, I utilize a variety of tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Fusion 360, Blender, Rhino, and Grasshopper, always eager to expand my skills with new software.

I'm driven by a desire to create designs that make a positive impact on people's lives. Feel free to explore my portfolio to see how my background and experiences have shaped my design philosophy. Whether you're interested in collaboration, learning more about my work, or simply sharing a passion for design, I look forward to connecting with you.

Currently, I'm actively seeking a full-time role in Sydney, Australia, where I hope to bring my passion for design and innovative approach to a new team.
